Blueberry Kombucha in second fermentation

Here’s a few photos of my blueberry kombucha in second fermentation. (June 1, 2020) I usually add fruits, and this time, blueberries! The color came out bright red. I think it’s because I made a small cut into each blueberry, so more color will come out, and its red!! Second fermentation is usually 2-3 days. Kombucha balances my digestive system. Works for me! :)

Growing mint from stem cuttings

Growing mint from a stem cutting

I cut the stem on June 1, and put it in a small glass container with an inch-tall water. Roots started growing pretty quickly, and I planted it in soil 10 days after the initial placement in water. (June 11) The last photo is today, June 22, 2020. Still going strong! πŸ’ͺ

Regrowing onion scraps

Onion πŸ§… scrap has been getting some healthy shoots and roots in a small herbal supplement bottle of water. I don’t remember if it was an onion or shallot... I think it was an onion, but will find out when it grows up. Hopefully it will. Time to plant it on soil.

The shoots have grown even more, and I actually used a couple of them for dinner. In fact, tonight’s meal was all homegrown and foraged veggies. 😊🌿πŸ₯¬.

Regrowing lettuce

When I cut the ends off the two lettuces (green leaf lettuce and romaine lettuce) on 5/20/2020, I lost track of which one was which. One rotted, because i put it under direct sunlight. Apparently, lettuces prefer indirect lighting. This surviving lettuce looks more like a green leaf lettuce to me, but let’s see when it’s all grown up.

Below 4 photos were taken on 6/6/20.
The baby leaves started growing in the center of the leaves, and the roots were also growing nicely. So I transferred it to a soil from water.

Then, today, (6/16/20), here it is (see below photo).
Lettuce has grown taller!

Every day I look forward to seeing my veggies grow.
This makes me happy 😊

Regrowing cabbage scrap in water

I have been regrowing cabbage from a scrap, and am happy to report that it’s been doing well so far!

This one below is 6/1/2020 when the scrap (core of cabbage) started to sprout.

The second one here below is 6/9/2020 approximately one week later.

This third one below is from today, 6/16/2020, another week later. So in about three weeks, it gets like this.

Looking forward to more growth, and then munch on these fresh, organic cabbage leaves!!

Regrowing my veggies hydroponically

It’s been a couple of months since I started growing my veggies. Regrowing from scraps indoor and hydroponically. Not sure how they’d turn out, but so far, they’re doing well. This makes me happy, healthy and safe during this pandemic and uncertain time.

Stay safe and blessings to you all.
