7/7/20

Regrowing leek scraps took only a couple hours at start, and then in 2.5 weeks, they were ready to be chopped for a nice dinner!

Blueberry Kombucha in second fermentation

Here’s a few photos of my blueberry kombucha in second fermentation. (June 1, 2020) I usually add fruits, and this time, blueberries! The color came out bright red. I think it’s because I made a small cut into each blueberry, so more color will come out, and its red!! Second fermentation is usually 2-3 days. Kombucha balances my digestive system. Works for me! :)

Growing mint from stem cuttings

Growing mint from a stem cutting

I cut the stem on June 1, and put it in a small glass container with an inch-tall water. Roots started growing pretty quickly, and I planted it in soil 10 days after the initial placement in water. (June 11) The last photo is today, June 22, 2020. Still going strong! πŸ’ͺ

Regrowing onion scraps

Onion πŸ§… scrap has been getting some healthy shoots and roots in a small herbal supplement bottle of water. I don’t remember if it was an onion or shallot... I think it was an onion, but will find out when it grows up. Hopefully it will. Time to plant it on soil.

The shoots have grown even more, and I actually used a couple of them for dinner. In fact, tonight’s meal was all homegrown and foraged veggies. 😊🌿πŸ₯¬.

Regrowing lettuce

When I cut the ends off the two lettuces (green leaf lettuce and romaine lettuce) on 5/20/2020, I lost track of which one was which. One rotted, because i put it under direct sunlight. Apparently, lettuces prefer indirect lighting. This surviving lettuce looks more like a green leaf lettuce to me, but let’s see when it’s all grown up.

Below 4 photos were taken on 6/6/20.
The baby leaves started growing in the center of the leaves, and the roots were also growing nicely. So I transferred it to a soil from water.

Then, today, (6/16/20), here it is (see below photo).
Lettuce has grown taller!

Every day I look forward to seeing my veggies grow.
This makes me happy 😊

Regrowing cabbage scrap in water

I have been regrowing cabbage from a scrap, and am happy to report that it’s been doing well so far!

This one below is 6/1/2020 when the scrap (core of cabbage) started to sprout.

The second one here below is 6/9/2020 approximately one week later.

This third one below is from today, 6/16/2020, another week later. So in about three weeks, it gets like this.

Looking forward to more growth, and then munch on these fresh, organic cabbage leaves!!

Regrowing my veggies hydroponically

It’s been a couple of months since I started growing my veggies. Regrowing from scraps indoor and hydroponically. Not sure how they’d turn out, but so far, they’re doing well. This makes me happy, healthy and safe during this pandemic and uncertain time.

Stay safe and blessings to you all.

Raw Blueberry-Banana Cake

It was a fine start of the day, sitting in nature, having a raw blueberry-banana cake for breakfast.

This is a mini-size. Used the mini food-processor and mold. Frozen bananas and fresh blueberries. Crushed the raw almonds and dates for the crust. Topped with greasy blueberries and shredded coconuts. Made me feel alive and cheered me up in this uncertain time. Hang in there, everyone.

Celery-Juicing Again, and it feels good! :)

To Life.

Back celery-juicing again.  Due to COVID-19, I was scared to consume fresh produce. So, I cooked everything, if it doesn’t have skins that could be peeled off. It’s been exactly one month. Yesterday (5/5/20), I started celery-juicing in the morning. I just wash, scrub, naturally UV disinfect, and also started growing my own veggies.

To health. Yours and mine.

Blessings

Celery-Juicing Update (2 months)

A little update on my celery-juicing.☀️ On Monday 4/6/20, I enjoyed my last fresh organic celery juice. It’s been a refreshing and healthy experience for roughly 2 months!! Almost immediately, my skin started to feel smooth, and after a month and 1/2 later, I stopped having hives on my body, and didn’t have to take allergy medicine.  I haven’t juiced in a week now, and the hives are back... ☹️ Due to a concern for #coronavirus infection, I am now cooking all my veggies and fruits except for the ones that come in skin that could be peeled off.  Not a good time to take chances. Better to be too cautious than too late. Be safe, everyone. πŸ™πŸ’—... .

Celery Juice morning routine

~ Drink Celery Juice First Thing In The Morning ~

I'd heard this a lot and had tried it occasionally in the past. This time, I've decided to keep it up. One week has passed, and I've noticed my skin is smoother. Usually, when you start detoxing, your skin break out first, but my body must've already been doing a fair amount of detoxing. I've nothing to lose but gain from this new morning routine, so let's see how it goes. Will keep you updated on my progress. Cheers! πŸ™‚

KEY POINTS when you do Celery Juicing:

- Drink it straight up (no lemon, no salt, no water should be added). Drink it by itself.

- 16 oz. on empty stomach.

There's a famous Celery Guy named Anthony William who wrote this wonderful book titled, "Celery Juice (medical medium)." You can also follow him on YouTube and other social media.

According to the above author, there are 10 Health Benefits of Celery Juice. I'm sure there are more, but here they are:

1.  Critical for chronic acid reflux.
2.  Fights autoimmune disease.
3.  Helps restore adrenals.
4.  Contains undiscovered sodium cluster salts that reverse illness.
5.  Neutralizes & flushes toxins out of the liver.
6.  Helps eradicate strep bacteria.
7.  Kills Epstein-Barr & Shingles viruses.
8.  Brings down toxic liver heat.
9.  Powerful weapon against SIBO & bloating.
10. Repairs hydrochloric acid & liver bile production.

All of the above sound great to me!  Can't wait to experience the results. πŸ™‚

...and, yes, do choose organic celery!!

Blessings ❤
